Three dead bodies have reportedly been recovered in the New England Ville community in the morning hours of Thursday, July 24 2025, after a fence collapsed the previous night due to heavy rains in Freetown.

The report disclosed that four were missing after heavy flows of water from the collapsed fence swept their house, and three have been found dead, while the search for the remaining one continues with the help of the youth in the community.

Freetown encountered another disaster once again due to heavy rains that lasted for about three to four hours, which led to the destruction of lives and properties in different communities across the city.

Flooding across the city has been a normal occurrence due to different factors, including improper water ways, resident dumping garbage on drainages, etc.

Freetown residents have made calls to authorities concerned to find a solution that will put a stop to this suffering.
